1 Overview & Scope
Remotlynk ("we," "us," or "our") operates the remote work discovery and radar matching platform located at remotlynk.com. This Privacy Policy outlines our procedures regarding the collection, storage, processing, and protection of personal data from job seekers across all remote disciplines — including software engineering, product management, visual and product design, marketing, content writing, operations, sales, customer support, and executive leadership.
By uploading a resume, signing in via Google Single Sign-On (SSO), or exploring matched roles on Remotlynk, you acknowledge and agree to the practices described in this document.
2 Information We Collect
We adhere to data minimization principles. We only collect information strictly required to compute your remote job proximity radar and provide career advice:

Authentication Data: When signing in with Google, we receive your email address, verified primary name, and authentication token. We do not obtain your passwords or access your Google Drive or contacts.

Curriculum Vitae / Resume Content: When you submit a PDF, DOCX, or text file, we parse the text to extract core competencies, roles, tools, and experience history.

Career Copilot Queries: Questions and tailored application prompts submitted to the Remotlynk Career Copilot are processed to generate interview responses and cover letters.

Your information is utilized solely to power your candidate-facing tools:
Radar Distance Matching
Calculating skill overlap ratios against active remote roles to generate match percentages and explainability breakdowns.
CV Gap Analysis
Detecting strengths, missing high-demand credentials, and formatting improvements tailored to your career trajectory.
Tailored Cover Letters
Generating role-specific cover letters and interview prep questions based on the target employer's job description.
Account Security
Preventing fraudulent usage, securing session access, and safeguarding your uploaded records.
4 Anonymization & AI Matching Protocol
We strictly decouple candidate identity from algorithmic skill evaluation:
1. Stripping Identifiers: Prior to extracting competencies or sending text through semantic embedding pipelines, regex filters strip direct identifiers such as phone numbers, residential street addresses, and personal email addresses.
2. No Training on Your Resume: We do not sell or permit external LLM vendors to retain your resume text for training public foundational models. All API requests are processed stateless through secure enterprise API agreements.
3. Zero Employer Surveillance: Employers do not receive notifications when you view their listings, evaluate your proximity score, or prepare tailored answers.
6 Data Retention & One-Click Deletion
You retain complete ownership over your records. You may delete your uploaded CV and clear your radar profile at any point:
Triggering the Clear CV option from your navigation, review dashboard, or profile immediately deletes the uploaded document record from our database, flushes cached review feedback, and wipes active match scoring for your session.
7 Your Global Privacy Rights (GDPR & CCPA)
Regardless of your physical location, Remotlynk honors the following fundamental data rights:
Request a machine-readable export of all records associated with your profile account.
Demand complete and irreversible destruction of your user account and resume history.
Update or replace inaccurate resume details or profile names at any moment.
We do not sell personal data. You are never automatically enrolled in commercial broker lists.
